The Club has a "cheque only" policy for all fees. Our policy on NSF is as follows:

The first received NSF cheque, the member will be requested to provide the club treasurer with a certified cheque that includes the bank fee charged to the club. In the event that the club receives a second NSF from the same member, all subsequent cheques from that member for that swim season must be certified. |
Club fees for the 2009-2010 season have been determined on an hourly basis. All competitive swim levels pay the same amount per hour in the pool. The hourly club fee rate for the 2006-2007 season has been increased by 5% due to decreased funding (loss of bingo and Nevada). This year's swim season is based on 39 weeks for Levels 3, 4 and 5, and 41 weeks for Levels 1 and 2.
If the swimmer is moved up or down within the first week of regular training the registration fee for the new level will be charged immediately. If the swimmer is moved at some other time during the year, the new level fee will apply on a pro-rated basis. SSMAC's total fee includes a club fee and a Swim Ontario insurance fee.

The fees can either be paid -
If fees are paid in full by the beginning of the 2009-2010 swim season (September 15), a 5% discount will apply. If fees are paid in instalments, post dated cheques must be supplied to the registrar at the beginning of the year for the full year.
The fees collected by Swim Ontario are not applicable for the payment options and must be paid at the beginning of the swim season in addition to the first payment.
For families with more than one swimmer, the following discounts apply -If a family has a registered competitive swimmer with SSMAC then the total fee for the seasonal SSMAC-a-Roo program becomes $250.00. No further family discount apply to SSMAC-A-Roos.
To register with the club, the family must agree to the SSMAC Family Commitments. These are the principles that our club operates by.
Other Club obligations not included in your fees:
Ontario Swimming Coaches Association Membership FeeTo ensure that all clubs have their coaches covered under Swim Ontario's insurance policy; clubs must include their OSCA Membership Fee ($100.00) and list of current coaches at the time of annual affiliation. Changes or additions to the coaching staff must be reported to Swim Ontario immediately by the Registrar.
And:
Club Affiliation Fee$5.00 per swimmer (+GST) based on the total number of swimmers registered with Swim Ontario on August 31st of the previous year. The maximum fee is $1,000.00 and the minimum fee is $100.00.
Sanction FeesAll meets and time trials must be sanctioned/approved by the Regional Sanctioning Officers of Swim Ontario. This is an insurance obligation. The fee is $30.00 (+GST) per sanction, payable by all clubs at time of the request.
Other FeesWhen hosting meets, the Host club must pay the following swim fees and levies:
