Fundraising for the club is the responsibility of the parents and the swimmers.
We do apply for all possible grants, sell Nevada tickets and assist in the annual Swim-A-Thon.
(Swim-A-Thon is an annual event held by every sanctioned club in Canada. It is compulsory for
every club to hold a Swim-A-Thon as Swim Canada requires a nominal fee from every swimmer
registered with the club). Another large portion of our budget comes from the fee charged each swimmer.
All additional fundraising projects during the year serve to enhance team spirit and a sense of belonging to SSMAC.

Corporate Sponsorship
A multi-tier corporate sponsorship program has been developed. If a family is
successful in obtaining a Corporate Sponsor contributing less than $500.00, 100 % of
the net cash amount raised will be deducted from the family's fundraising requirements.
In the case of sponsorship of $500.00 or more, 50 % of the cash amount raised will be
deducted from the fundraising requirements.
